What's In The Box?
Because our shares are distributed bi-weekly, we pack 'em full! In true CSA fashion, your box contents vary with the season and that week's harvest, but we aim for 8-10 items per box. Each share will include a thoughtful selection of roots, alliums, greens, and other seasonal favorites like squash, herbs, etc. We expect our boxes to feed a small family or couple for more than a week's worth of meals. Here's an example:
Winter Box Example
1 lb spinach
4 lbs sweet potatoes
2 winter squash
2 celery root
1 bunch Swiss chard
1 bunch cilantro
1 bunch collards
1 bunch scallions
1-2 heads broccoli
3 lbs carrots
1 lb Salad mix
Summer Box Example
2 heads of gem lettuce
1 quart of cocktail cucumbers
1 bunch of dill
1 bunch of scallions
1 head of radicchio
2 lbs of beets
1 pint of cherry tomatoes
2 green bell peppers
1 pint of jalapenos
2 bulbs of fennel
How much does it cost?
We plan out the season with the expected items in each box, then take an average of the value of all items and how much they cost us to produce, package, and deliver. We like to keep it simple! But because the length and value of each varies, so does the price. A benchmark value of $50-60 each box is about right (x the number of weeks in that season). Don't worry - we provide detailed pricing for each season when registration opens!
How will I get it?
Pickup locations are held in the late afternoon/evenings at local businesses or homes in Clintonville, Upper Arlington, Worthington, Downtown, Bexley, and Groveport. Are you interested in being a pickup location? Email us! We will share the pickup site information for each season when registration opens. Home delivery is available (for an additional fee of $10/delivery) to addresses within the 270 loop. The delivery window depends on the unique route for each season, but we shoot for late afternoon/evening and to wrap up by 8 PM.
How do I join?
Members purchase a share for one season at a time. We open registration for that season ~2 months before the first scheduled pickup - sooner if we can! Current members and those on our email list get first dibs for early registration. To sign up, you will check out for your share and any desired add-ons via our online store. If we sell out, we will post a link to join the waiting list.
